Toddler Program Highlights
1 Years Old to 2 Years Old

-
Learning through language: Since we are practicing ABC's as well as nursery rhymes, and reading out loud to our students, our toddlers will learn to say single words, sentences, as well as understanding simple directions.

-
Learning through cognitive skills: Toddlers will learn by moving, climbing, fitting into spaces and carrying and dumping things. Their waking moments are filled with discoveries. Toddlers need safe and interesting places to explore and learn and their toys can be simple such as pots and pans, boxes, blocks and plastic buckets and shovels. This also helps develop their sense of pretend play which is crucial to the child's development.

-
Learning through interactions/social skills: Toddlers learn about the world around them especially through interactions with their caregivers and their peers. Toddler will also learn to communicate their needs and interests. They will learn to feel secure and confident. Lastly, with their social skills, toddlers will learn to play with others, take turns, as well as learning to share.

-
Learning through motor skills: Toddlers will learn to walk, run, climb, feed themselves, as well as draw. With their developing motor skills, they will learn to develop their hand-eye coordination as well as learning to use their pincer grasp to hold markers and crayons to scribble.

-
Learning through sensory skills: Toddlers will learn through seeing, hearing, tasting, touching, and smelling. Experimenting with textures, objects, and materials will help enhance memory, observational skills, creativity, independent thinking, as well as emotional regulation by providing a calming effect when a child is angry or anxious.
